Фпс не может получить, ага. Попробуй с ключами driver=v4l2:fps=25 и на всякий случай с driver=v4l:fps=25
Вообще, в списке поддерживаемых вебкамер серии Look нет, а вот тут у человека аналогичная камера вообще не работает, правда, то в 2009-ом было, с тех пор стек v4l пилят-пилят, да никак, видать, не запилят.

Не хочу огорчать, но я бы с этой камерой пошёл бы в магазин.
Реально сталкивался с ситуациями, когда камера на чипсете, который даже вроде как бы поддерживается, выдаёт мусор или жутко искажает картинку, пока не влезешь в исходники ядра и с матами там не перекорёжишь что-нибудь.

guvcview пакет поглядите. если повезет, сможете в нем покрутить настройка камеры и потом отдать ее скайпу в настроенном виде. у меня так работает intel pc camera pro на работе, иначе черный квадрат ;)

Есть камера Genius Look 320s и Ubuntu 10.10
Вот что даёт lsusb:

Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0458:7029 KYE Systems Corp. (Mouse Systems) Genius Look 320s (SN9C201 + HV7131R)

Cheese камеру видит как USB20 Camera (/dev/video0)
Изображение есть, но скорость обновления кадров -- 1 кадр в 10-20 секунд
В скайпе камера при разговоре работает через раз с той же fps
В настройка при нажатии Проверка вебкамеры (в скайпе) ничего не происходит, картинки нет
Как заставить камеру работать нормально?
