Есть проблема! — восстановление системы duplicity

Здравствуйте.
Было дело, искал чем делать бэкапы системы, остановился на duplicity.
Прошло пару месяцев, пришло время проверить как работает восстановление системы из бэкапа. Хочу заметить, что настраивался инкрементальный бэкап корня.
И вот пытаюсь восстановить из работающей машины - система умирает.
Собственно вопрос - есть ли возможность восстановить систему? К сожалению вариант загрузки с livecd не подходит, так как сервер находится в Gogrid, а там нету такой возможности, также как и подключить второй винт\раздел.
Собственно нужна помощь в востановлении бэкапа ВСЕЙ системы из duplicity на работающую систему (или какие-то предположения, буду тестировать).

Archlinux — btrfs?? Better FileSystem!

Давно я ничего не постил, но вот решил себе поставить всю систему на btrfs.
Если кто не знает, у меня стоит Ubuntu ArchLinux. В последних archboot образах есть возможность устанавливать arch на btrfs. Лично мне archboot нравятся намного больше обычного установщика.

Да, о чем это я.
Вообщем сделал бэкап всех важных файлов на свой 2.5 sata2 винт 500 Гб (который еще в кармане таскаю, если надо). Еле влезли =) К слову, на нем поставил все-таки ext4, на всякий случай.
И вот, компьютер готов к тестам.

Есть проблема! — Вопросик по samba для гуру

Привет всем.
Вообщем нужны гуру, чтобы помочь с самбой. Проблема заключается в ошибке NT_STATUS_DUPLICATE_NAME.
Суть проблемы в следующем - стоит сервер, который делает nat интернета. Некоторые пользователи подключаются к серверу через pptp, поэтому у них есть как бы два ip адреса - из подсети 192.168.0.0/21 и 10.0.0.0/21. Из-за этого и возникает ошибка. Когда я делаю

как видите, мне отдаються оба ип. На сервере я специально запретил forward пакетов в подсеть 10.0.0.0/21, но это не помогло. Как исправить данную ошибку? Факт ведь в том, что для windows это не помеха, и там все работает, а наша самба выкидает ошибку и не подключаеться.

Что любопытно, так это даже smbnetfs с такими компьютерами не работает. А вот winxp на виртуалке работает. Не честно как-то =(

Еще важный момент - у меня нету доступа к ip адресам 10.0.0.0/21. Тоесть я их не вижу, но в ответе nmblookup они приходят

P.S Большая просьба не доставать советами сделать mount.cifs и подобными, так как хочеться чтобы все работало по человечести.

Есть проблема! — [Решено]Poptop server + онлайн игры

Привет всем.
У меня проблемка появилась - поставил на debian pptpd, все настроил, работает. Вот только у виндоюзеров не работает Lineage через vpn. Другие не проверялись, но мб тоже проблема. У себя не проверял, проблема проверялась только на windows 7, не знаю в какую сторону копать. Если пустить инет через FreeBSD и mpd5, то все работает.
Помогите советами =)

РЕШЕНО: проблема из-за низкого mtu по умолчанию (1360). Если поставить 1490 то должно работать. Надо проверить.
Вдруг кому понадобится - вот список какие mtu надо ставить
# MTU/MRU setting:
# TCP header = 20 byte
# IP header = 20 byte
# GRE header = 24 byte
# PPP header = 8 byte
# MPPE header = 2 byte
# GRE over Eth: 1500 - 24 = 1476 MTU (-20 -20 = 1436 MSS)
# GRE over PPP over Eth: 1500 - 8 - 24 = 1468 MTU (-20 -20 = 1428
MSS) -> used with PPPoE adsl

Вот бы еще в poptop была спец опция, чтобы не использовать ip-up... Но это уже другая история)

Меня тут попросили рассказать как загрузится с образа dd, о чем и будет этот топик.

Скрипты на bash — Конвертер из flac в mp3 v 0.50a

Привет всем!
Ну вообщем дело было к вечеру, делать было нечего..
Вспомнил я, что у меня музыка в основном в flac, по трекам. И иногда нужно ее в mp3 кому-то скинуть.
Чтобы не разбираться с mencoder, да плюс еще и скучно немного, решил пошаманить со скриптами.
Знаю что уже есть похожее http://welinux.ru/post/1196/, но нашел его только что, да и там только по одному файлу можно конвертить.

Есть вопрос! — нагрузка Xorg на процессор

UPD: сорри, решил немного изменить тему вопроса до более глобального, Предыдущий вопрос под спойлером.
Как вы думаете, почему иногда бывает большая загрузка процессора иксами? Кто виноват? Меня иногда раздражает такое поведение приложения, от которого требуется только вывод графики. Ну что это за загрузка такая в 50%?

Может создать коллективный багрепорт, если разобраться в чем проблема?

Друзья, вы замечали что когда пользуетесь кедами то почему то очень возрастает загрузка процессора иксами? я это замечаю уже не впервые, и никак не могу понять логику. Сейчас бывает загрузка около 50%. Не думаю что из-за драйвера, у меня даже игра X3 не грузит так иксы. Nvidia.

Я рекомендую — Нужен словарь? Вот же он.

Решил написать еще о программе-словаре. Называется она StarDict.
Дабы не копипастить всю вики - напишу только основное.
Для программы доступно большое количество (более пятисот) словарей по различным тематикам перевода на более чем 40 языках.
Из зависимостей у меня enchant gtk2>=2.16.1 libsigc++2.0 libsm. Не много. Также есть qt оболочка - qstardict.

Решил сделать пост ссылку на вики, т.к там много чего уже написано.
